For the first time globally, more people get their news from social media platforms than television or news websites, according to a new report by the Reuters Institute for the Study of Journalism. The report also shows a steady decline in the percentage of users getting their news from TV or news sites, sounding an alarm for journalists who haven’t yet made the pivot to social media.
